Ecommerce Manager – YARD

YARD is an established fast-growing ecommerce business based in Stirling. We are looking for an experienced marketing orientated ecommerce professional to join our team as we implement the next part of our growth strategy. Reporting to the board, you will have experience of producing and managing web content for B2C / ecommerce sites and have demonstrable skills using 3rd party platforms. You will handle decision-making for our website, our in-house development team, our social media accounts and our online advertising. You will also be responsible for developing new marketing strategies and implementing them.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a merchandising strategy to develop our online presence for existing and new products
  • Reviewing sales, margin and KPI’s to identify and understand the key performance drivers
  • Producing daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting, in addition to ad hoc reports
  • Managing our paid search and seo programmes and using web analytics and other web-based tools monitor user behaviour and analyse traffic trends
  • Conducting regular audits on our website to check all product details displayed are accurate
  • Developing and managing our digital marketing to drive customer demand through Social Media and other channels to increase engagement
  • Creating e mail marketing campaigns exploiting our CRM system to generate new leads.
  • Optimising site navigation and customer journey through UX and A/B testing to grow conversion rate and online sales
  • Keeping up to date on ecommerce innovation and trends, monitoring competitor sites
  • Develop strong lasting relationships with external partners, agencies to continually improve online performance

We’d like you to have:

  • Advanced Online Multi-Channel Platform experience
  • Excellent spelling and grammar with a keen eye and attention to detail
  • Great customer service skills (phone, email and live chat)
  • Proactive ‘thinking-on-your-feet’ problem solving attitude
  • The ability to work in a small focussed team that prides itself on customer service
  • Experience of working with Magento and with Microsoft office applications

You will be organised, analytical, with strong technical skills. You will be able to multitask effectively and be able to problem-solve when needed. You’ll be happy to get stuck into a wide variety of tasks with a ‘hands-on’ approach – this might include helping in the warehouse on the odd occasion. This role requires someone with a real passion for ecommerce, online merchandising, marketing and optimisation. Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

University Degree preferred At least 4 years’ ecommerce experience in a fast-paced B2B / B2C environment
